Step into a weekend inspired by "Italianity" at the 2026 Buffalo Gap Wine & Food Summit!

This year proudly features Jessica Dupuy, acclaimed food writer, editor, and author of "Italianity." Known for her deep storytelling and reverence for culture at the table, Jessica explores the idea of Italianity which is the intangible qualities that define Italian food and wine beyond recipes: heritage, family, landscape, and the joy of gathering. Her work has appeared in leading food and wine publications, and her book "Italianity" celebrates regional wines, timeless dishes, and the people who keep traditions alive.

Friday, April 17, Evening

Texas Roots, Italian Soul

A kickoff built around the Summit’s origin story with Perini Ranch and our longtime wine partners Becker Vineyards (Texas) and Fess Parker Winery (Central Coast). The evening celebrates the Italianity idea that the table is where culture lives: generous hospitality, family legacy, and wines made to belong with food, Texas-style, American-made, and rooted in enduring partnership

Saturday, April 18, Morning

A Master Class Celebrating Italy's Backbone Varieties!

A guided walk around Italy using grapes, not borders, as the compass. Join Jessica Dupuy to track the varieties that form the country’s “spine” and define its most recognized regions - Nebbiolo, Sangiovese, Nerello Mascalese, along with a set of high-definition alpine reds such as Schiava, Schioppettino, and Corvina.  Immediately following this class is an al fresco lunch from Perini Ranch.

Saturday, April 18, Evening

Bistecca & Beyond! An Italianity Supper at the Ranch

A family-style Italian dinner from Perini Ranch that leans into the heart of Italianity with simple ingredients, confident technique, and dishes designed for wine at the center of the table. Expect a Tuscan-anchored feast featuring Bistecca Fiorentina, regional sides including Friuli Frico and Tuscan Fagiole (white beans), and big-format dishes made for sharing.  It's rustic, soulful, and built for a Texas crowd.

Tickets are available individually or in groups of (8) eight.  All groups of 8 tickets will have reserved seating at each event throughout the weekend.
